Samples now at boomkat.

check

Archangel sounds stunning. Not as keen on the others at the
moment. Sounding raw as hell.

Sounds just like the first, not a bad thing. Archangel does
sound particularly nice.

Interesting to read that Unite (unlike all his other stuff)
was done with a sequencer. Seeing as Unite is probably my
favourite Burial track, I can't wait till album number 3 (or
whenever) when he finally gets into sequencing. :D

So, are we all agreed? Burial has overtaken BoC as
the artist you really look forwards to new material
from?

He makes good music, but how do people dance to it, is it
like heyheyhey, smoke weed every day, and dance very slow?

Must have listened to these samples 100 times by now. I'll
admit I'm a fanboy. Burial isn't just some artist, his music
represents a time. Maybe that time hasn't come yet. It's an
age. The age of whatever this sounds like.

New interview with the Guardian here

In other news, it is also album of the week at boomkat. I've
really got into Near Dark lately, and it may well have
surpassed Archangel as the track i'm really looking forward
to hearing in its entirety.

Nice to have my suspicion that the hihats in some tracks
were shell casings hitting the floor confirmed, too. I
hadn't spotted the keys jangling, but I'll listen out for
that.
