been thinking...the birth of electronics made all this
modern music possible. before that, it was acoustic.

do you think they'll be a time when something else is
invented which will make sounds/music that none of us have
even dreamed about?

I've produced some pretty consistant and convincing acid
sounds through thick clouds of flatulence.

when we run out of fuel to burn to produce electricity,
we'll have to return to acoustic instruments and manually
rotated wax cylinders.

i'm looking forward to it!

the next step is surround sound. stereo is very one
dimensional, there's loads of room to create something that
redefines how we listen to music.

i always had this whacky idea that sound could be completely
3-d.
like being in a sphere or something, you could hear audio
from a 10000 angles.

i think your right about surround sound. imagine surround
sound headphones...putting yourself in a fucking diving suit
looking thing and getting blasted from all directions...oh
i'm back to my sphere-sound idea again lol

Maybe we'll find some way to bypass our primitive sensory
organs and directly stimulate our synapses in some new silly
ways. Plus there's things we can't hear or see. Maybe we can
decode them somehow if we get a new interface, or even
''update the drivers'' on our brains. OR MAYBE NOT

yeah, by surround sound I don't mean 5.1. not headphones
either. just sitting or standing as the sound comes at you
from every part of the room. a calculated way of using sound
frequencies to elicit the most powerful emotional response.

how are sound frequencies related to an emotion response?
