The first time I met my ex's parents it was like something off a bad American sitcom: I was driving to her house and for some reason it was idiot hour on the roads. This guy pulls out directly infrount of me, I miss his car by a hairs bredth. We get to some road works and although I have never done anything like this before, I get out of my car and calmly explain that, "the shiny sticky out bits on his door are mirrors and they are so that you can see behind you." Very happy with myself I carried on driving and realised that I was going the same way as this guy. It must have looked like I was following him because he starts speeding up and at that point I pull over at a gas/petrol station. I turned up at her house and her dad was that guy. He failed to ever see the funny side of the experience. |

Meeting the rents can be tough. I told them my music was to vulgar to show them and that I would be embarrassed. I guess I just said the truth. But this was only months after knowing them.
