That was what I read on the Bungie site last night.

I am assuming their double buffering comment was tongue in
cheek because it's bullshit. Otherwise you could argue that
last generation games that employed this technique were high
definition.

From a purely technical point of view, the supposed flagship
title for the XBox 360 has been released, with a massive
marketing campaign, and technically it isn't HD and it
hasn't got AA enabled. I think people are just a bit
pissed.

If you upscale a DVD, can you then state it is an HD disc?

As I said above, I like the game and personally don't care
what resolution it runs at.

"wow... hahahah... To think that this is basically their
flagship product of 2007... congs microsoft, indeed."

Ah, I was thinking that Vista came out in December of 2006,
appears I was wrong. I suppose that would make Vista - not
halo3 - their flagship product for 2007, with halo3 in a
close second.

I'm pretty sure they won't do SH5 for the xbox. That would
mean a massive downgrade of the game, and the developers not
being able to do what they want because the PS3 is the only
console capable of handling it. At least that's what the
developers say.

a massive downgrade of the game? Can you provide a link to
what the developers say?

Here: "Konami and the team behind Silent Hill
have looked at the current consoles and concluded they all
have limitations that hamper their ideas for the game and
delay progress. Except the PlayStation 3.
"

The actual interview is in some Japanese magazine, but it
seems they're saying going multi-platform is only a sort of
"emergency exit" if they don't think they'll make enough
money from going exclusive for ps3.
