also i think it is dumb when atheists self-proclaim themselves publically like they should be famous for not believing in god
theres an american comedian whose name i cant recall right now who, whenever hes in front of a bunch of people lets it all out about how its impossible for god to exist and it's like you kinda wonder why he doesnt tell jokes instead

ive sat in front of people say, like, "MAN! GOD CAN'T EXIST, DUDE! SERIOUSLY! LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE, I MEAN, DUDE! C'MON!" and then talk about reality tv shows. its confusing!

Dawkins would dissect the question with razor like precision and complete control of all constituent words and effortlessly annihilate it. Look at his books, not the 'entertaining' public image produced by south park. He has some of the greatest understanding of the world how it truly is.

It's easy to be seduced by Dawkins, because any sane person realises the concept of God in man's image is utterly ludicrous - but if you ever watch his programmes you will see he is as much wrapped up in his own beliefs as those he opposes and is therefore no different to any religious believer.
To propagate a belief that god does not exist is just as stupid as propagating a belief that god does exist. The problem with the world is not beliefs, but human being's desire to coerce others into believing, which is exactly what Dawkins is doing. He's just a different brand of cigarettes.
I was watching one of his programmes the other day where he was ridiculing religious believers for living in a fantasy world, before going on to say, "who needs fantasy, when you have the beautiful poetry of nature", well poetry IS fantasy! Poetry is an ideal, a concept, a philosophy. Nature is not interested in poetry, it's not interested in anything, it is what it is. So to look at life through a poetic lens is equally as deranged a fantasy as any other.

You're reviewing the most entertaining form of information regarding this, a google video probably. His books are brilliantly written with a lot of fascinating analysis of arms races, replication, altruism, why things behave in certain ways such as ants behaving more like a single genetic being given their differing core of replication compared to ours, etc. with tons of off tangent brilliance, neat software examples of evolution. One books peripheral part on bat sonar alone is excellent. Great speculation on the origin of genetic replicators. Pretty much every page is elegantly crafted and he has a mastery of the english language using formidably precise and defined vocabulary to reduce seemingly difficult problems/arguments into their true retarded form. He's a master in pedagogy and I agree with whatever review said his writing makes the reader feel like a genius. The god stuff gets the most attention, predictably given religions memetic foothold. He saw religion as a brainwashing memetic illness plaguing humanity's children from an early age and made a decision to be a sort of activist against it. I guess he held people in higher regard than they deserved thinking replicating memes in humans can be battled and won. As soon as things like information storing devices (books etc) took off, humans branched off into quite different beings based on levels cultural learning (as opposed to genetic difference). Like a telephone system, adding more information to a brain increases connections exponentially so the learned can be a fuck of a lot smarter than the ignorant. He's quite learned but gets more attention because of his book memes than others I'd guess.
