I really have no opinion about Bush, simply because he doesn't rule our country. But the whole "let's hate Bush, and therefor hate Texas too because he is from Texas", to me, simply describes the mentality on the majority of Americans. Bush the greatest president ever. What liberals don't understand is that he's on a mission from God (the true, Christian one of course) to save the world from Islam. I hope that the Republicans win next year and that the Tories win over here, hopefully they can become a bit more right wing, because the UK needs more family values and capitalism. |

America is top: great country, wonderful isolation/wilderness, nice (albeit generally unhealthy) food, by and large (outside the cities), friendly and relaxed people. There are things I don't like about it too of course and I don't see why the things I like about it should prevent me from criticising the things I dislike. As to you, I don't care about you one way or the other and your nationality certainly doesn't enter into it. Swears: I agree with you. I think they definately need to become more right wing before they re-earn my vote though. I'm fucked if I'm going to vote for a party that wants to shaft motorists further (as if we: a) have any choice and b) don't prop up the economy enough already) and that wants to do away with grammar schools. Cameron initally seemed like a good choice (as most elections these days are won on gloss and popularity, a cult of celebrityism around the main man of each party). He is increasingly pissing off large numbers of traditional conservatives and with it, a large number of his voters. Thankfully, the rate at which he is pissing of the traditionalists is greater than the rate at which he is charming women into voting for him, so it looks like he won't get in unless he changes his views. That said, Stalin MK2 is only marginally more appealing. Who'd of thought I'd ever see the day when I said I thought labour were the lesser of 3 evils, particularly so soon after Bliar... |

Epohs: Yep, I saved hard for 18 months and used up almost all my year's holiday to travel in America for a month because I hate America so much.
