When did I say that most small cities in Texas have sidewalks? Honestly, you're just putting words in my mouth at this point. I've never once tried to defend the notion that most small cities in Texas have sidewalks, but rather that the majority of US cities and towns do. Since when is the number of miles of sidewalk in a country the deciding factor on how often people walk there? I've walked in the grass along a road at least once in my life. Yes, sidewalks are preferable, but the point is people survive without them all the time. In summary, I really don't understand what point you are trying to make about sidewalks. You're skirting the issue about being a downer, as well. Take Shope's post into account when I say this: I may not know how you dress or what you eat for breakfast each morning, but to say that I do not know you, at least partially, by your actions, is absurd. To be completely honest, I appreciate that you are upset with what is wrong with America. To me, it says that you see something with potential but are angry at it's glaring flaws. I'm angry as well, believe me. At times I get so angry at the situation here that the only thing I can think to do is go out to the bars with my friends and have a good time. It's a shortcoming of mine, and I submit to this forum that you are a stronger person than I for being able to abstain from that which dulls the intellect (too much boozing), and instead focus on correcting world issues. At a basic level, I agree with you on just about all of the problems in America. It becomes difficult, however, to ignore the overbearing tone that pervades almost every one of your posts. This is the nature of my discontent. |

Okay-Okay I'm serious, how can there be people that can't think that their own government tells them everything. I see people all over the world that live in a field of opium, by being misguided by their religion, and their country. Its a damn shame when people talk hate on others and forget their origins. People forget their own past history feel that it is irrelevant; it isn't. Empires have existed all over the world and all have fallen. Americas empire will surely fail too. Now notice how empires were destroyed, all of the ones that i can think of ended violently. Now also notice that empires seem to fall with an exponential growth of destruction. All i can say is that earth as a whole will be fucked when this happens. No more year 2*** with flying cars and stuff that you would only wish to have. The truth is I'm afraid of mans survival for the future. As soon as the tech comes for space ships that can be self containable I'll be wanting to get the fuck out of this planet. Then i will choose a direction and go as fast as i can. Hopefully light speed or what tight ass warp speed thing. Any one else feeling me? |
