I'm going on a journey.

Taking the bus out to Vancouver, and riding my bike back to
Ottawa. I'll mostly be camping, with a few hostels in
between. Two months on the road. Should be fun :)

My planned route isn't as direct as what Google came up with.

I estimate the actual distance to be around 6000 kilometers
(3700 miles). The idea is to ride the Trans Canada Trail as
much as possible, although some sections are incomplete or
go too far north.

PS: I'm not going alone, bringing along a friend from
college who basically quit his job to join me!

wow! Amazing!

Please post pics of your bike, and a gear list!

100km a day averages. You'll be lean and mean by the end.

Uh huh. Typical Central Canadian... durrr Canada doesn't
extend past Ontario durrr.

No srsly tho, very cool, always something I wanted to do but
lack the... bicycle. You'll have many micro-adventures
within the macro, and take many pictures of them. But not of
the Cabot Trail, which is a shame.

I'd love to ride the east coast, but there's not enough time
before winter. I might do it in the spring :)

Cool man! Good luck and have fun. I have been thinking of
doing the same thing but here in Sweden. From south to
north. And walking.
