I have always been curious about this drug but never had opertunity/the correct environment to try it. A few quick questions for those who have. How long is the trip? Is there a bad come down? |

Heat is expensive so I often let my apartment be cold and keep warm under thick covers. But now I felt unbearably hot under my two blankets, and removed them from the bed. Immediately I felt too cold, and reclaimed one of the blankets. My pillows were irritating my neck and I resolved next time to not have any, just lie flat - for some reason the thought of removing them now didn't occur to me. That's great, no really. |

Fortunately, and thank goodness, I had enough presence of mind (or had taken a low enough dose) to ask myself 'run to where?' and thus realized running would be unfeasable, and pointless anyway." the fact that he was even capable of such a thought process, that he was aware he was in an apartment at all, coupled with that he only took 1 hit, leads me to believe he wasn't even really tripping salvia. when you trip salvia properly (there is a huge threshhold to make it over, usually you just keep smoking until you drop the bong) you have absolutely no concept of yourself or any of your surroundings. you are elsewhere. it's the only drug ive done where when people are over it they literally state "okak. i'm back." this guy just had a panic attack on a light salvia dose, which is a thoroughly uncomfortable high. |

i think if you read it properly you'll see that the fear was in fact an experience offered to himself without choice, he experienced it, analysed it and saw that it was nothing. |

well i have read a lot of experiences this evening and they've all been very interesting. people did the the drug. wrote about their experience. i looked over them. was entertained + given food for thought. how can it be useless? it's already done so much |

i think we're calling the drug itself useless.. if you're of the opinion that salvia has virtues by the fact that people have taken it and written about their experiences for your interest and entertainment then... well, i don't know - bloody great, fair play to heroin. |

the reason i posted this though was because IF YOU ACTUALLY READ THE ARTICLE, the guy, guess what? yeah that's right. he fucking learns something about himself. the drug allowed him to have some positive realisations about his life. |

yeah, um, the dude's 21 and finally realized he could talk to girls while on a light dose of salvia. sounds more like he was ready for change and a mediocre drug just happened to be the catalyst, not that salvia has any particularly positive and/or "useful" effects other than giggling and seeing crazy shit. people try to ascribe way too much importance to what, in the end, is merely a recreational drug. i wish i could show you a tape of me on salvia, because all im doing is speaking in tongues and freaking out, none of which i remember. the most useful thing i learned from salvia was never to do salvia again. |

I tried this stuff for the first time at the weekend. Very odd! I litererally went off into my head for about 5 minutes, which seemed like seconds. Nothing around me seemed to exist. Immediatly I said that I wouldn't do it again, but now I am thinking that I should try it without having drunk wine or smoked pot. It's powerful stuff and not what I expected at all, I thought it would be like a mild mushroom/lsd type of trip experience, but it is nothing like I ever tried before. Maybe next weekend I will give it a go again, but maybe not! I would encorage people to try it while it is still legal, it seems safe enough and oddly quite a 'spiritual' experience. I am still thinking about my trip now, where I seemed to leave the fabric of time and space for a little while. Quite the head shredder!!! |

there are a lot of 'drug machismo' people out there who try salvia and it doesnt give them a strong effect so they poo poo its potential. there is nothing macho about having body chemistry unable to properly process and activate a psychedelic drug |

I know dude. Last shroom experience, the girl I was with was her first time. She took an 1/8. Went into hard core psychosis and busted out her front windshield by kicking it. I had to drive and I was on a quarter myself. Hardest thing I have ever done. Tonight, i'm going to take it easy with a few more relaxed people and lay in the field behind the airport and watch planes fly over. |

I did a full bag of legal shrooms. I thought they would be pussy. I WENT MENTAL AFTER 3 HOURS. It was cos my mate wanted to play cards and he DRAGGED a table accross the floor to put the cards on. It was like BAM all of a sudden that table was the center of everything terrible happening over and over again! He then slapped the deck down on the table and the cards went everywhere, it was just too much colour! I spent the whole night cackling into a pillow like a complete nutter, but i was desperately trying to explain to my friend that i was dying. Every word was shakey with terror but broken with manic laughter. To make myself feel better i BECAME the bed and tried to push the quilt into my mouth, i really thought i'd got the WHOLE thing in! Next to the bed was a pizza and it made evrything sooo much better when i pushed my feet into it. I couldn't see it cos i was pushing the quilt into my face and laughing but i could feel the warm cheese, i bunched my toes into it for hours. I had to not look at stuff cos it was MAD. The computer scrren across the room was covered in korean style characters that were squirming like in the ring. The best bit was at midnight, everyone was asleep and i went to take a piss. The toilet was soooooooo far away and i could here this blissful organ music downstairs with a song, it sounded like a bird whispering i can't describe it any other way. Then it just got progressively nicer the more the shrooms wore off. I want to do them again but my golden rule is STAY HAPPY cos shrooms are mood enhancers. If you feel scared you are ACTUALLY FUCKED, you will not be able to convince yourself that you not going to die! |

the only time i did salvia it was fucking funny, 4 or 5 years ago. i remember i started seeing drops of sweat coming out the pores on my skin and beginning a mushroom kind of trip, then i started laughing a lot, especially when the pipe passed to a friend of mine that started talkin like a chipmunk. bwaha. didn't open my mind and won't do it again though its, not stuff to play with. |

Salvia is one nuts ass herb. I've done it regularly (twice a month) since last year, and me and my friends have had the whole gamut of experiences. From fighting orcs, to scaling waterfalls, to enjoying the comfort of a nice, comfy couch. Even exploring unkown, unthought-of terrains. I recommend salvia. |

I had the best experiences w this method using 10x extract. I use some mouth wash first, then take a pinch of the salvia and put it in my lip (when you take it this way it is mild but lasts longer.). I leave it in my mouth about 15 mins, then spit it out or swallow it. Then I wait another 15-25 until I really feel the come up, and smoke some of the 10x. It comes in much smoother and is a little less jarring, but more intense too cause I've kinda warmed myself up for it. Then I enjoy the 5 mins or whatever and wait to come back. Then once I do, still having strong after fx from the quid, I smoke some weed. This amplifies the after fx and gives another 20-30 mins of trippiness. |

I got her to calm down for a few minutes, she was still in psychosis, then she started tryign to get out of the car again, and kicked at the same spot where her feet had been earlier, left the crack, and it shattered out. You wont have much control over it. I smoked 3 bowls of 20x in about 15 minutes my first and only time. I didn't have a bad experience. But it was intense as shit. For a little while I thought I was in a shoe factory. Then I thought I was on a game show. Then I started playing Halo (or trying to) and were talking to the other players as if they were my family. The comedown was insane. It lasted for about 3 or 4 hours for me. Not the usual 5-10 minutes. Weeeiiiirrddd, but cool. B) Enjoy yourself. |

if you can, listen to some of your own music too, it's crazy, it made it bout 30 times more emotional for me coming down back into reality listening to one of my songs, felt like i was heling myself, like the world i was coming back to was nurturing me out of the drug, fuck now i know why the indians had "spiritual experiences" |
