Alright.
I've been listening to Pavement a lot recently, they're fucking fantastic. Especially Wowee Zowee, amazing album! There's some kind of .. american edge to them that I like, very 90s. I hadn't really heard any of their stuff before downloading all of their albums in one go, so I don't really have any indepth stuff to say.
Oh, and the first two tracks off Slanted & Enchanted ... fuck! They're like my personal definition of what "indie rock" should sound like, ideally.
I've also given Pixies a fair shake, and they're not disappointing me at all either. Surfer Rosa took a bit longer to get into, as expected, but it's so rewarding. Doolittle is terrific too. I've yet to dig into the later albums, but it'll happen soon enough.
Other than that, I've been replaying Peter Gabriel's So and Security. Both fantastic, diverse albums with lots of accessible, dynamic tunes. Gabriel had an incredible amount of talent gushing out of seemingly every orifice at that time, his music is very much loaded with sensibility.
Electronic music wise, I just listen to the same old crap I usually listen to. I honestly don't feel like checking out any new artists these days because most of what I hear coming out is so shit and naive.
