intro to aphex

i made the mistake of giving an aphex-virgin artist 26
remixes, which i disliked for 3 years, but reformed.
i would like to know what would be the best aphex to give
him the best introduction...note body riddle he liked.

Analogue Bubblebath would be my approach, or Analord. I
showed Analord to an allround Porcupine Tree (and alike)
fan, and he loved it. He fucking loved it.

Ghey+

But for my input ill say the Ventolin remixes.
Stay away from ICBYD, RDJ album and Drukqs.

K-thanks.

All I can say is I gave a girl Vordhosbn and she loved it.
Note how my dad who really likes CTD and actually got me
into Aphex can't stand any of drukqs or really much he's
done other than CTD and Windowlicker.

Same, I'd love to have the ability to forget songs so that
everytime you listen, it's new. You'd also have a lot more
room in your memory to store important stuff.

Come To Daddy Ep is a good introduction.

It's very diverse and showcases the serious side , humorous
side, experimental side , mental side , etc..etcetera of
his musical personality that all ads up to the genious that
is (was) Aphex Twin .

No probs mate. Wish I could've done it at a higher bitrate
but 160's my max. I'd be happy with 128.

the first aphex album I ever listened to was selected
ambient works 85 - 92 followed by 51/13. Knowing as much of
his material as I do now, I can't imagine a better
introduction, I'm so glad it was those two. I think the
artwork on 51/13 is probably my fav too.

windowlicker or come to daddy

yeah i started afx with the windowlicker and come to daddy
eps, and it sonded so weird cause on one side you had this
super funky funny vibe with windowfucker and on the other
the afx typical unreal-melancholic-da vinci code thing with
come to daddy.
best intro to afx is obviously rushup edge. make it
synthacon.

okay you just CAN'T do anything wrong by giving your friend
a porn flick by Andrew Blake (nsfw) AND hand him over the slow
Tuss, claiming it is THE soundtrack to it. try it... Last
Rushup or Synthacon...
