i don't think it is. the melodies don't sound aphexy. maybe he lost his charm, but that's doubtful, because the analords were great. |

the tuss is amazing music its too bad such a ruckus was created around him. it would be better if everyone just chilled and listened to the music. |

im of the opinion that at the very least richie had a hand in this. a continued reflex-gescom type thing would be great tho. artist collectives always seem to churn out great music because its never the same guy/guys getting tired of things, keeps things fresh. just look at animal collective for a great example of how well this concept can work. |

well how many people nowadays can claim to having a Yamaha GX1 these days though? Whether it is AFX or not I personally dont see what all the fuss is about. It seems people would rather debate if Richard D James is The Tuss rather than let the quality of the material sink into the cerebellum... Maybe thats the point of it all. |

Aphex writes amazing melodies, but in recent years he seems to be backing off melody a lot. When he does use a great melody in his new stuff its very sparingly. |
