it was pretty hot down here today. my mum even managed to
get sunburnt at work.

the forecast for the rest of the week doesn't look good
though, particularly friday.

The summer here has been abysmal - it's the worst summer I
can recall and I'm treemendously disappointed since I use
the summertime to recharge my vital forces to endure the
scottish winter.

It's 95 F (35 C) here. I wish I could share the wealth with
you guys. :( I got 2, count them, 2 weeks of cold weather
this last winter, and by cold, I mean, 50 F (10 C).

Fuck summer, I burn in an hour, I hate working on sunny
days, I hate shedding cats, fuck it. I wish it didn't have
to be this way, between summer and I, but it is. My recharge
time is strolling leafy streets in the fall.

Summers are not really needed to get a wide mix in your
track. Its just industry hype. Bouncing to tape for that
compression is nice for adding warmth though.

was as sunny as it should be at this time of year. I went
swimming in the sea before work today.

Come to America and learn what a real hot summer days is
like. I wish I was in England. Nothing but hot sticky sweat
here.

Summer? What is that?

There was one decent afternoon last Saturday and thats about
it. It is really very, very strange, even for a miserable
shithole like England.

Yes, I was in America (the south) a couple of months back
and it was already at the stage where I wouldn't want it any
hotter.

Except murder, of course, whose rate shoots up in very hot
weather (the stats for the summer of '76, for example)

It's pretty nice down South (of England) except last week at
the Rise restival, it pissed it down. I still got to see
Saint Etienne and hear some Trojan soundsystem goodness.
Today is great. Bring on the semi nekkid birds.

And fighting in the streets on nights out. Police alter the
number of officers on the beat according to what the weather
is doing. They have most when it is humid as people are
vastly more likely to kick off. There is hardly any violent
crime when it's raining.

"Did you know that more murders are committed at 92 degrees
Fahrenheit than any other temperature? I read an article
once… At lower temperatures, people are easy-going. Over
92 it's too hot to move. But at just 92, people get
irritable!"

there's something about living in the states that makes me
feel good.
