hiya xltronic peeps
just a quick spam:
as you may know, the new B12 releases both sold out very quickly - less than a day on the B12 shop, and most stores only got a limited number each: usual story: high demand/small numbers
so B12 have repressed the two new 12"s 500 copies each, black vinyl (still with engravings) different artwork clearly marked "second edition"
more info here
will be on the B12 shop later this week, also in all good independents (warpmart, smallfish, juno, etc)
just to note AGAIN - bootlegs of the old material are still doing the rounds, and shops like Phonica are stocking them while claiming to be unaware that they are fakes (even though the new release come from a distributor, yet the 'represses' come from a dodgy bloke who turns up in the shop one afternoon with a box of vinyls...doesn't take a genius to figure it out...shameless)
the bootlegs aren't from the original plates - they've been ripped fro CD or mp3 - you can tell by the lack of messages in the run'out grooves, the poor quality label print, and the tinny/trebley sound.
if you're buying, either from shop or ebay etc - check for the messages in the runout grooves, so you know youre getting the real deal

Ah, I have a bit of older Artificial-Intelligence-era B12. I heard about this massive bunch of B12 Records things - does anyone here have any of it? In the same vein as the old Warp stuff? Good? I might ask for some for christmas lol
