Ok. So a lot of new fuckers are signing up to XLT because they search google for "Oink invites" and are told to come here. What if you Ceri not only closed the topics, but also deleted them? Would we get rid of the problem? Or is it so funny to mock the oink-members that we want them to sign up? |

Sorry, I steered clear of all the Oink threads and still don't really know what oink is (but reading between the lines I get the impression it's some sort of invite-only P2P?). As a result, I had no idea this was a problem. Any other board members care to give their comments on this situation? If enough people say it's a problem, I'll have a word with Phob and possibly deleted all the oink threads. |

I disagree. I think that it is our duty as humans to help spread the gospel that is OiNK. Additionally the Google Adsense revenue helps maintain the lavish lifestyle that Phobiazero has grown accustomed to. |

I always thought it was for potential ad revenue, and the whole 'new members' thing was a lie. Not only do lots of people post in those threads, but notice the number of 'guests' these days is *much higher* than it was a year ago, and I attribute this entirely to the invite threads. This latter point in particular should increase the likelihood of people clicking on ads.. |
