it is obvious that we all post here quite less nowadays, at least the old regulars... even people like tolst, qrter, tridenti and those that posted more the last year seem to have reduce their time here, not to talk about xceque, ceri, phobia, ophecks, jand.... jaworski, pogo, giginger.... where are we now? why is it that we post so much less? in my case it is all due to work, and also living with my girl I tend to do other things, its not so easy to come here now she is watching a movie I am not interested in, so its a good moment to spread some thoughts well, thats it |

when I first posted at xlt it was still aphextwin.nu, but it was called that way only a few months, cos after august 2002 it became what it is today... I was 26 back then... now I am 31 and mid way to 32... and I dont have the same enthusiasm about the idm thing... I love music of course, but its not so exciting to write about it anymore... still though the place is nice to keep in touch with the latest musical news |

The period where I posted the most was when I was in civil duty 'cause most of my work was done in front of the computer in my office. These days, if I post, it's just break trolling when I'm doing papers or music. |

well, i get little something for writing music reviews which also means i get to see most gigs for free which is pretty much all i do. beside listening to music and watching films..it's excellent and my mood went up 200% but i can't afford anything..i live a very modest life see : ) |

shit in what way? it always relaxed me (which atm i don't need) but appart from that it made me feel nice phisically, which is the good part. i don't know about alcohol though, i was drunk like 2 times in my life. |

I'm not particularly hyperactive, but I'll never do psychedelic or hallucinogenic drugs.. mostly because sometimes reality almost feels apart right before my eyes... sometimes, I get this sort of weird feeling of a bubble around my head.. it stops right below my breast. The bubble has a projection of the world, everything I see, on it, and it vacillates and it looks like it's always just about to burst I fear that heavy drugs may cause the burst. Basically, I always fear its burst because that's the day I snap. |

I can't post as much as I used to, but not because I'm overly busy or anything... I do everything in my power to ensure that never happens... it's just that I don't listen to much electronic music these days, and since that's an ubiquitous subject here, I'm like, yeah, whatever. Well over half of the people you named have said they post less because of the large number of pricks who in habit the board and the fact a lot of the other older members of the board also post less, if at all. Yes, there are new people to replace these, but comparatively few of them are sound and for every decent one there are a dozen knobbers. Without wishing to be too negative about things though, I think it's only fair to say I think in the past couple of weeks there have been a lot more interesting threads/topics and more civility amongst board members. What do I do with the increase in time now I'm not here? Largely it's also done on time I'm tied to a computer (work)and instead I'm posting a lot more on another forum I belong to. Whilst the people there don't have as good taste in music, literature, film, games or aesthetics in general, they are for the most part a great deal more polite, mature and funny. I also know a lot of them in real life, which not only keeps things civil, but makes it quite pleasent/rewarding, I suppose the way catching up with people I know IRL is on here. I suppose I value those things more and more as I get older. |
