hang on-im sure they used to be a punk/funk outfit-dead early on, if im correct i think they once supported new order? or joy division? im sure ive seen the name in relation to them...im probably wrong though...ha!!!

yeah, they were that sort of time, i remember buying the single from probe all that time ago! dont remember who supported joy division even though i saw them a few times in manchester.

ooohh i would loved to have seen jd live-the first band i really got into!!! what were they like? ive seen footage of ian curtis dancing and its looks legendary...my mates dad saw their last ever gig in birmingham, the day before he took his life...

yeah- ive seen some footage of 'transmission' from the old grey whistle test...and i remember bits of the 'here come the new men' video-looked like he was having a seizure...have you read the 'touching from a distance' book by deborah curtis? fascinating and nostalgic read-i recommend it. ive got a tape of dsome outtakes a rarities-and theres a kraftwerk inspired tune called 'and she said' on there-they were definately ahead of their time..

if i remember correctly Mike Pickering of M-People was in crispy ambulance, or was it another Factory Records band.
