New poll. Let's vote. A pretty easy way of getting bonus points
(not that it should matter anyway).

Hey, nice poll. I wonder what "something completely
different" would sound like.... Maybe the supposed tracks he
didnt want to put out...?

I got bored of ambient though.

Its a good one. I was stuck between ambient or hardfloor
style.. I went with hardfloor!

Wow! A four way draw at the mo. No doubt that's changed now.

personally I think that drukqs has been a turning point for
afx,it's more than a record with music inside,it's something
containing images, colours(in this case the darkness of the
drill'n'nbass songs and the light of the piano tracks), art
in general...i could say the same thing for Vespertine and
probably for Four Tet's Pause...I think this is the new
direction

I'd say the whole album is dark. piano tracks and all...
It's all very sorrowful

Well personally I see most of Drukqs to be quite boring and
lacking style of any sort.

I agree it's very nostalgic sometimes...I've never felt the
same thing with his previous works...does he feel old?

Yeah definitly. But he never really sticks to the same
thing, he is pretty strict with himself about stuff like
that, well it looks like it anyway, from interviews and
stuff.

...just one more message so I don't have to go around with
'newbie' label on me

I also agree with Chri5py, a DARK pino album would be sooo
sweet...."Music for Bank Vaults" lol

I would like it if he would do some more "equation" style
tracks.
That would be really whicked.

yeah, sido! that reminds me that i have already thought
about writing a software that converts pictures into music,
like in "equation".

The coolest thing would be if you could make a program that
made pictures out of music. The picture would represent the
exact sound (you can convert it back and there is no change)
and you draw changes in the picture whitout knowing what
will happen and then you convert it back and your sound is
totaly fuckt up hahahahaha!!!!!

id like an advance on drukqs-id like the hardcore to be even
faster stronger more complicated absolute extreme intense
and full on, spliced with more ambient piano tunes that have
an orchestral direction, along with some extremly fucked up
electronic voice speel ala the girl/boy ep. that would make
me happy..but it wont happen, you know it wont-aphex will
again release something that will take you by suprise,
because that is what he is good at-say what you will about
drukqs-i think its amazing-but who would have said after the
richard djames album that afx would relaese an album of it's
style??

offline Sido Dyas from a computer on 2002-03-19 11:51 [#00131009]

The program would have a shitload of FX that is only
trigered by different changes in the picture so you wouldn't
have a clue what your doing.

yeah equation track stuff would be wicked - i put acid!! -
thoroughly impressed by 2 remixes! :)

offline KEN from BIRMINGHAM (United Kingdom) on 2002-03-19 12:02 [#00131023]

or what about an album of say 130 tunes? all of them 20-30
seconds long? that would be interesting....

offline shortcircuit from Red Ends (Germany) on 2002-03-19 12:06 [#00131029]

nice idea, sido! a program that works in both directions.
mmmhh - quite hard, but not impossible.

yes i guess it's quite hard to do such a program .
I got a bit carried away there hahaha!!!
