yesterday all teams played at the same time barça was winning 2-1 minute 88 madrid was losing 1-2 minute 87 barça was leading the league and very near from winning the title next week 18 seconds later it turned out to be 2-2 in both fields now its madrid ahead and almost with the title I am in shock |

yeah that why i said it's odd. but none of the teams in brazil/argentine leagues are up to par with the (best) european ones. as for your comment, they take the players pretty young, take messi for example, he's been in barcelona since he was 14 or something. argentinians play all over the world, they export socccer players as if they had factories pumping them and shipping abroad. |

messi was exception i think..because of his health problems..but generally all the players start their careers in those clubs. they're not on the same level as european clubs, but tradition/history wise they're right up there. best football was coming from those parts in the past..infact some of the european clubs from that list above didn't show much in europe either lately..but i know what you mean, yeah. |

then again, it isnt like the europeans have significantly trashed the south americans in the intercontinental cup. i actually think that the south american clubs have won it a bit more in those leagues every player is doing his utmost in order to impress european leagues.. and in the big european leagues the players might get a bit too comfortable in their position cause there is nothing much higher to aim to.. thus on one side you have a south american team always eager to impress others and on the other you have the complacent (at times) european club. the balance thus gets more and more equal |
