the ultimate bipolar choice

a song called stars from his new album is pure bliss

john cooper clarke's evidently chickentown is bouncing me
off walls

have you heard his older stuff ? both albums "far away
trains passing by" and "a strangely isolated place" are
fantastic.

i have to admit that being a fan of his older stuff i cannot
really get into this new album - it seems so unlistenable to
me because of those heavily intense reverbs which cause that
this albums sounds like it would just slowly blurp out of
your speakers like tar and gets stuck in your middle ear
before reaching the eardrum and glues it together so you are
deaf after listening to the whole thing.

my god just listen to "nobody's home" from far away trains -
THAT is pure bliss

still my fav of him remains "in all the wrong place" from a
strangely isolated place.

i just realised that far away trains had some "normal"
amount of reverb in it, afterwards a strangely isolate place
added some more diffusion but this new thing is just
insanely all over the place.

far away trains is like you would fly through fluffy clouds
which caress your skin and goodbye is like a trip
headforward through a dozen of solid brick walls

look on some site for samples from his albums "far away
trains passing by" or "a strangely isolated place". this
schnauss + brothomstates thing should consist (or at least
the thing i downloaded under this name consisted) of tracks
from on of those two albums.
