It's going to be hard to top Jack Nicholson but it looks
like they are at least headed in the right direction.

Batman Begins was a good restart. Washed away a lot of the
bad taste of Batman Forever and whatever that shitty one
with Arnold was called.

Michael Keaton will always be Batman for me though.

I recently bought the 2-disc S.E. of Batman... great film,
great features, all for £7. Hadn't seen it in years, but I
saw it in the cinema when it was first released: it was a
big event at the time.

In "The Dark Knight," Batman raises the stakes in his war
on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and
District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle
the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city
streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they
soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a
rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens
of Gotham as The Joker.

HEATH LEDGER AS THE JOKER!?!?!?! WTF!!

Careful - people were like that about Michael Keaton as
Batman before that film came out.

I thought Ledger was a weird choice too. But these guys have
a keen understanding of Batman, the real non-fictional
Batman that really existed and lived, so I have faith.

I loved the '89 Batman too, also a worthy adaptation.
Michael Keaton looked like a geek and they probably used a
prosthetic chin when he was in the suit, but he was a great
Bruce Wayne, as neurotic as the real non-fictional Bruce
Wayne that actually lived and existed was.

Im only carefull with fireworks and dogs i don´t know Paul
=)

But Paul Bettany and Adrien Brody was also considered first
and i feel those are more fitting choices . Excelent choices
even.

Some guy called Lachy Hulme was also considered. Don't know
who that is.

this movie is going to be so fucking bad it's not even
funny.
christian bale's horsed voice michael keaton impression was
laughable. The first half of Batman begins was interesting,
the whole origin story and all, but the second half where
batman is in full custom was an awful ripoff of Tim Burton's
batman, extremely poorly done.

Batman the animated series will always be the best screen
adaptation of batman. I don't think a live action movie can
ever top that, even one like batman begins that is obviously
heavily influenced by the cartoon. Does anybody remember
the Scarecrow animated episodes where batman gets drugged
and he tries to infect the water supply?
