Yeah, that was my feeling. It wasn't bad/out of the ordinary
enough to justify banning. Still, Phob has made his feelings
on the matter quite clear, so I'll start being a bit tighter
on it.

is this like the godfather where they occasionally purge the
bad blood from the family?
Are you going to change the banner to :

WE ARE WATCHING YOU

or something?

Can anyone smell oranges?

Has anyone actually discussed the tuss' music yet, or are
they still going on about whether it's aphex or not? I
didn't like it, so I'm not going to say anything more about
it.

Actually, there is more good and interesting spam 'round
here than there are good electronic releases these days.

I agree Dan could be funny, but redrum seemed to have his
anger without much of the wit. It gets very boring watching
one person get very cross with other people all day,
non-stop.

2007: Alog, Porn Sord Tobacco, Springintgut, Bjørn Torske,
Denzel & Huhn, Aleksei Perkele, mr76 ix, Bola, D'arcangelo,
The Tuss, Pan Sonic, Vladislav Delay, and blablablabla

Always interesting releases. Sadly not always interested
people.

i agree. much of the spam here is brilliant. that, along
with un-announced radio shows, is the main reason for still
dropping by this place.

I'm also reading Mr Bans. It could be a character on
kiddie-TV to learn people how to behave on messageboards.
"Now remember kids, if you post porn, you should always
label it NSFW, and don't make your own goodbye thread if you
don't mean it!"

I agree about alog and probably also torske, though I
haven't heard that new album... The other ones, well..
neither the tuss, bola, d'arcangelo, aleksei, pan sonic,
vladislav or 76 ix are anything to be excited about imo.
What is springintgut?

Well. I can't wait to hear the next albums from Alog,
Supersilent, Bola and D'Arcangelo. I'm also very
disappointed about the last Apparat and Bjørn Torske-album.
I don't necessraily dig all the releases, but in some way I
have an opinion about them, instead of saying
"uninteresting". If people are tired of electronic music
they can talk about "uninteresting" and "dullness" like a
certain mod, or they can recommend music they like, and
maybe widen other peoples horizons.

Anyway, I'm happy for the banning. Maybe a higher rate of
relevant topics can be made, without people calling each
other names, or posting pics of Valor's girl.

HAha this has turned into the 'whingers thread' now. most
people have gone down in my esteem (whatever the fuck that's
worth). next time i lose an argument or am ridiculed for my
being a wanker, i'll definitely come in here and cry for
JUSTICE.

This thread has also made me realise how important this
place is to some of you. Nice i suppose.

I don't see why marlowe isn't a mod yet. i think he would
be quite just in the postion and he's even asked fob.

This is all a bit harsh and could have been delt with
differently.

offline Drunken Mastah from OPPERKLASSESVIN!!! (Norway) on 2007-05-14 10:39 [#02083758]

Well, whenever I find something interesting, I try to make a
thread, or, preferably, find an old one about the same
release and bump it, but it usually doesn't get much
attention. And it's also quite rare these days for me to
find a good one. When people are discussing releases I find
samples and listen to them, but most of the time, it's just
the same old stuff with a new name, so there really isn't
much to say about it.

So the Torske album is bad?

It is a shame that some of the best posters often self
destruct under the weight of living a large portion of their
life on a messageboard. I will miss some of those who have
gone until they come back. Also, Paul for moderator seems
an interesting proposition that will likely never happen.

Have a look at who is supposed to be a moderator on the FAQ.
Almost all of them are totally AWOL. If there was an active
set of moderators, we wouldn't ever get to the stage where
there is a rapid fire B8 frenzy.

Anyway, I suppose its up to the zero man to decide what's
what around here. Perhaps other members will now become
essential. Perhaps not.
I know its going to be worse around here without dog_belch.
I'm going to steal his phrase "The future isn't as good as
it used to be" and write a book or something. blah blah let
me end my post with a question for the "community" to
ponder.

The future of xlt isn't as good as it used to be?

I don't think it is hilarious, rather tragic really, but yes
it is a mistake.
So many people have signed up just to try to grab an oink,
with no interest in anything else.
I think its extremely naive to think they will come back
after a few weeks on oink to start exciting topics about
electronic music.

I see an interesting pattern in the bannings. Does anyone
else notice that the people being banned are the annoying
trollish assholes along side the very few who
recognized them for this and stood intollerantly against
them?

Dear Phobiazero, you are not here enough to recognize the
champions of your own board, your banning finger is
generally very accurate but I see some tragic blunders
