Early Shadow stuff

I was bored this morning, not wanting to go to my lectures,
so I took a look on e-bay for the early DJ Shadow singles
'Lost and Found' and 'In/Flux'. These songs were hyped to
death when they came out, but neither of them are available,
either in the shops or on e-bay. So does anyone actually own
these early, early records, or are they lost to the world
forever (or until Mo Wax release a box set in fifteen
years)?

Lost and Found S. F. L can be found on the first Headz
compilation on Mo Wax. It is one of his best with a cheeky
sample of U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday. It is well worth
searching out.

In/Flux can be easily found on the Pre-Emptive Strike album.
There is an alternate version on the Headz compilation as
above.

Other early stuff can be found on the Solesides 'Greatest
Bumps' on Ninja Tune.

If you're desperate for all this stuff I could post it to
you on tape. I also have the ultra rare Lesson Four/Lifers
Group tracks.

Hey, Jonesy, we only live a few miles apart. I live in
Leicester, England, not Leicester, Uruguay, as it says
above.

I knew about the Headz compilation, but that is not in any
of the record shops around here, nor is it available on
e-bay. Anyway, what do these two early singles sound like?

Lesson Four is a cut up of funk, Led Zep type riffs etc. Its
cool. The other is a hip hop track remixed by Shadow. Also
good. Its such a rare record. I found out recently that mine
was a bootleg. Very convincing though.

Where in Leicester mate? I was there on Friday night.
