This sounds very nice & laid-back - how many musicians were
involved - this is a live recording, right?

Thanks! And, no, it's only me. The drums are cut-up and
mucked around with, same goes for the sax (only lifted the
sound of the sax, it was pretty clear on that recording..
the melody is programmed); They're both from Anthony
Braxton. The plings, synthbass and flute plus all the other
weird sounds towards the end are played by me.

Very mellow. And very nice.

Infact, I think it deserves This.

But have you sampled it from Anthony Braxton, or did I get
that part wrong?

Anyways, a nice track!

Domo arrigato, mina-san!

Aphex: I sampled two single sax tones from Anthony Braxton.
Then I pitched those two to make the sax melody. The drums
are a small loop-ish thing that I cut a bit into, also from
Anthony Braxton. Actually, it's from 23 standards, the one
that only went out in 1000 copies... The rhodes, plinks,
plonks, bass, flute and other sounds are all me.

Damn.

Does the grammar work that way in French, btw? I just
switched the je and suis because that would make it a
question instead of a statement.. well, in my head, anyway.

offline dariusgriffin from cool on 2007-05-10 16:01 [#02081659]

Yeah it's good. Add an hyphen and it's perfect.

Suis-je

A more familiar way to say it would be Est-ce que je suis
un crabe ?
.

hmmm

That looks like it could be something like "is it so that I
am a crab?"

but I don't know french at all, so...

That's it but it's a very common expression here, more than
the verbsubjectswitching.
