what would you consider a reasonable disk drive space for
your C drive?

the guy who sent my pc to get manufactured made it so i
can't have many programs on it. i have currently about 43 GB
on my C

i have most of my space in my E drive 236GB (where i can
save all my downloads) which is not the problem but goes to
show you the disproportion in space heheh. my computer
nearly went to the shitter not too long ago.

It depends on your personal needs and your budget. I'm rich
and edit high definition Hollywood blockbusters for a living
so I use this-

For all the servers my company builds, we do 20gb c:\
partition just for windows (and any programs that require
they are installed on c:\) everything else goes on another
drive.

can i partition to the E drive? and if not

how much space do you suggest the other drive should have?
my budget is like $200, 300 max.

43 gb is all you'll need for your install files. just keep
all your media on your E drive.
