Same company I believe. I guess they bit the bullet and have
turned into a 100% online store. A sign of the times.

sometimes i have the feeling that people here, who care for
music & buy records (lps/cds etc), are...like dinosaurs,
anyway internet is great 4 buying records

yeah same place... boomkat is just the online version.

thing is with pelicanneck it's been more a good meeting spot
for me, have met some good friends in there over the
years... it had a nice veggie cafe attached to it. pretty
unique place, nice place to chill like.

it's not a dinosaur mentality, it's more that we like to
have interesting places in our city.

internet is good for buying records but it's just not the
same for me...

Also, actual human interaction is important. I like good
record stores where you can search the racks for at least
two hours. Talk to the staff because (usually in that kind
of place) they are just as geeky as you are.

You don't get that in HMV. Maybe you can find good rare
stuff on the net but it's kind of an antiseptic way to find
the things that you want.
