what was turning 30 for you like? im afraid to turn 30
because most people i know in real life basically started
hating life once they turned 30. do you feel like there's
less to look forward to?

i'm 31. i don't feel really old yet, but people who are
about 26years and younger are starting to look really young
to me. especially college kids. also, i've noticed that
highschool age and younger kids consider me an old man. a
7th grader told me the other day that i looked just like one
of his teachers.

But i pretty much act the same and feel the same as i did
before i was thirty. and i don't yet feel like my best
years are behind me. quite the opposite.

People should die when they're 30 like they used to in the
CAVE MAN DAYS.

at the end of the day, age is irrelevant. it's all about
one's experience, and what one went through and encountered.
I know some folks who are younger than i am, and yet seem
more mature and cultivated.... As i know people who are 60
& way behind....

the older you get, the closer you are to death..... that's
all there is too it

i still basically am a young teen but i'm afraid of a lot
more stuff. like, rent, bills, etc. i hate all of that
stuff. i dont ever want to be rich because, well, mo' money
mo' problems

society is telling me that i need to make a lot of money,
but i always ask, why do i need to do that? why is it that
as i get older i need to make more money? i can pay rent
right now, i can pay my cellphone, internet, etc. but its
like, "thats not enough. you arent making enough money. you
must make and spend more money", i hate it to death

Bowie turned 60 the day before i turned 30 - it was weird to
discover that. i ended up more drunk on his birthday than on
mine. i wish i was that vital and creative at his age.

By the time you're thirty unless you have something more to
worry about than trying to copy Autechre and thinking about
aliens, then you'll hate life too.

There's nothing to fear about turning 30.......

Quit worrying about the future and take care of the
now........

At 35 you're ontop of your game.......

That's not in question. What I was asking was why he was
concerned with what was going to happen to him, solely,
around the time he's 30.

I'm not thirty yet, but I would guess that it involves the
complete death of childhood dreams and fantasies of lavish
success.
