The last time I plugged my "no discernable trademark",
generic mp3-player into my laptop and it didn't appear as a
drive, so I am stuck with whatever my last lousy playlist
was.

whatever the hell this is.

it doesn't tell me the time, i can't use it as a storage
device, and it only takes 512mb.

3rd gen 20gig ipod. Amazingly its still working fine, 3 1/2
years after I bought it, unlike 95% of those that were
bought at the same time.

Walkman phone I was suckered into getting on contract.
Actually it is pretty good I do use it a lot. That thing Dr
Sanchez has looks f'ckin weird... like some kind of female
themed aparatus. And it says network walkman...

this one, only 1 GB though, because they didn't have the 2
and 3 GB when i purchased it. The 3 Gb seems to be awefully
cheap nowadays too. Just the touchpad is abit unhandy at
times, but you'll get used to it eventually.

Good for recording the radio. Sound quality is very good and
it's fairly big too.
Don't like anything too small.

20 Gig Sony NWA3000

i used to have a 10 gig iPod, but it packed it in after 1.5
years.

Fuck ipods

The Sony player has advantages- works on multiple computers,
good battery life, solid and sturdy design. But, Sonic Stage
can give you the shits, and the unit itself can be a little
slow

A cheap and nasty 256mb no-name that I use when I run or
cycle. No screen, no fancy functions. My wife has the
512mb version that I use if I'm going to be gone for
longer.

Yeah, Sonic Stage is bloody awful. It constantly crashes in
the middle of transfers and seems to hog up all the memory,
rendering any other applications useless.

I use a 4gig ipod nano. Haven't had any problems with it,
and I have a nice rubber form fitting case to keep it safe
but still maintain the nice ipod look.

Everytime I open sonic stage, I have to wait a few minutes
while virtually everything I've ever uploaded tries to
automatically go on the device. Then after it's done
chugging at my cpu, I can cancel the unauthorized transfer.
All because one day I said 'don't remind me again' instead
of 'cancel' or something.

i haven't had any mp3-playing device for a long time, since
my minidisc broke, and it's been quite refreshing.

although i did enjoy listening to music while commuting, its
annoying seeing everyone constantly 'plugged in'. everyone
trapped in chronic isolation.
