Bogdan on Copyright

"ive said it countless times but i feel the need to say it
again. copyrights really dont exist. to extend, neither
does ownership of any media of audio. all you chaps flapping
your gums about "these are my samples, dont rip" yadda yadda
need to chill. first of all, i imagine you sampled the
samples from some other musician. hence you would not be the
owner. neither is that musician you sampled from the owner.
lay yer grubby hands off. unless you are electricity then i
sincerely believe it is
impossible for you to have ownership of any audio, song or
sample (if there exists a difference between the two).

and if that means that all of "my" songs are not in fact
mine, but that i merely come along and weave electricity,
then so be it -- i am not the owner nor the creator of my
musix.

silly and hypocritical of me to be saying this when all i
desire is for you to listen. silly and hypocritical i am as
well.

i no longer care "whos" samples, bars, leads, drums, sex
squeals, cherished 16bit hand clap samples i steal/use. no
form of audio is yours and it will never be mine."

right on, i wonder if he still feels the same way today

No, it's because he's been dead for 500 years.

yet another:

"in the digital domain there are those who claim to have
ownership but in fact there are absolutely no rights.
because of course you can't own what doesn't really exist.
copyrights are null/void/useless in this domain (and all
others @ that).

sampling is the necessary tool to harness analogue and
digital audio and allow any willing lo-fi 8bit warrior to
create digital terror. thinking that music which is tracked
is any lesser than music which is not tracked is idiocy and
ignorance in its strongest form. quality is a fading ideal,
don't be left behind.

propaganda is for the weak, minds are capable of creating
their own views. if you don't like these ideas, then
idealize YOUR own."

i'm also reading a lot of 'praise jesus' comments he's left
scattered about...really BR a JC freak?

I certainly don't own any Bogdan records, because everything
I've heard of his has been insufferable rubbish. So I guess,
woah, I am living in his crazy mixed up Utopia, in a
mad way.

At least he's not one of these tedious pricks who on the one
hand want to be able to sample whatever they want without
restriction or cost and on the other, cry like babies when
people DL their album on P2P.
