I have just found out that I have to go on a business trip
to Barcelona next Monday through to Thursday. If all goes
well I should have Wednesday free, any recommendations on
something to do?

It depends on whether Britain now has an extradition
agreement with Spain for people who have committed a murder.

LAZY_TITLE

Take a trip to Sagrada Familia, or Park Güell. Try to get a
trip with the cable-ride-thingy from the Port to the
mountain Montjuïc. Or just chill out with a sangria in
Barri Gotic

ive been thinking,
but im so fucking bored here
that i dont fucking know what you can fucking do
in this city...

i guess all it depends on what youre looking for.
lots of touristic sites (as mortstox said)--> gaudi stuff,
museums as MACBA or CCCB, the gothic, etc,
for more relax/quiet thing id recommend taking a walk
through montjuic mountain, or spend some hours in parc de la
ciutadella,
for party, electronics is difficult to find, take a walk
arround raval (plenty of pseudofashion pubs with more or
less nice music), or go to the disco apollo (more little and
centric) or razzmatazz (biggest disco, pretty impressive,
but not that great music, althought you can get special
interesting acts somedays...)

I'd love to go back to barcelona. I had a lot of fun there.
As mentioned already, check out the sagrada famillia. it's
like a cross between a cathedral and a bee hive.

i wish i could remember the name of this great vietnamese
resturaunt we went to... so strange to see vietnamese
people speaking spanish. well strange to me anyway.

wedensday is reggae at apolo, but that is basicly it. if the
weather is nice, go to ciutadella or montjuic (at night
preferably, the view is great). try to avoid la rambla.

melack, are you going to trentemøller? maybe we should hook
up afterall - you can come to our new place.. 130
squaremeters in fontana, excellent. there will be swedish
girls (hopefully).

I happily got two days free. Excellent city. I got to visit
quite a few places including montjuic at night. Segrada
Familia is amazing but I didn't have a chance to go inside.
The hotel I was based in was next to Barcelona Sants so it
seemed pretty central with good links everywhere.

The architecture is fucking staggering.

The cable cars were closed due to the wind (which was
stronger than I thought it would be on the Monday/Tuesday)

I plan to go back in the summer.

Nice. Barcelona is a perfect city, IMO. A big city (at least
for a small-town boy like me), but with most of thestuff in
walking distance if you live in the central parts. And a
nice city beach sooo close.

It was totally different to what I was expecting to be
honest. My initial impression was that it was close to
being the perfect city however you can see its problems as
well. I have left with nothing but good impressions though,
even so far as considering relocation myself.

Oh and there seems to be a major graffiti thing going on
there which was cool.

i like it a lot as well. though there are lots of places in
spain i'd rather live in, but barcelona is definitelly a
town for a young human looking for interesting stuff.
