How does the music you listen to refelct yur personality? I
see people in concert t-shirts and I think, no one gives a
shit to which concerts you went to, or what music you like.

i'd say about 90% of the people you see in concert t-shirts
couldn't even name three songs/albums/members by/from/of
that particular artist/band/group.

Monoid, if you're going to mock The Internet for its entire
lifespan, at least write your own posts, you lazy turd.

Or is it because every Messageboard has a Monoid, that you
just don't have time to specifically tailor each Monoidism
to each board's theme, just broadly targetting "Music" or
"Philosophy", "Politics" etc.

Is there some shadowy Internet Regulation that requires all
boards have a Monoid in order to keep users aware of the
inherent contradiction of achieving meaningful communication
across such a medium. Or is a Monoid employed to actually
reinforce the illusion?

Who are the figures behind "Monoid", is it the testing bot
for some (very) artificial intelligence bot script that will
be employed perhaps later to lure punters to Porn sites, or
engage them in internet chats and attempt to influence their
political views. Will young cybernauts in Iran soon find
themselves chatting with their new western friend "Monoid"
who will, after a few pleasantries and gaining their trust
and their ear, run his script to exhort them to rise up
against their government. Will "Monoid" be employed in North
Korea (for the few with Internet access), China, Zimbabwe...
or is it the other way round, some forgotten tech wing of
the KGB hoping to lure young westerners round to their way
of thinking.

Or is he just a bored tosser?

if i went to a radiohead concert and they sold t-shirts or
sweaters, i would wear that t-shirt or sweater all the
time.

same with autechre, or aphex twin, or boards of canada.
you can think what you want about that, nobody cares what
you think anyway <3

I can understand teenagers, in search of their identity,
using band t-shirts to affiliate themselves with certain
"tribes" and mark themselves as distinct from others.
Whereas I'm old enough to know better, however if they make
these B12 t-shirts available I'd be wearing the fucker 24/7
until it fell apart.

I dunno, I bumped into Altai (from this board) in real life
because he recognised by maroon braindance t-shirt and
started talking to me because of it. Similarly I've nattered
with people at parties/club nights who've had music t-shirts
of labels/acts I like on. Most of the t-shirts I wear are
plain/no logo ones. Of those with logos, most are music
related, be they record stores, labels, bands, etc.

"no one gives a shit to which concerts you went to, or what
music you like"

But the whole Xltronic community are sooo fucking curious
about every fucking single aspect of your depressive,
self-obsessed world. From the diagnosis your psychiatrist
gave you to the fact that your still a virgin. Shut up!
Oh! My! God!

i was on the phone with my bank disputing a couple of
exorbitant charges from a payphone that charged me $30
dollars to make a long distance call with my atm card which
was less than a minute becuase the call only went through to
voicemail and the customer service rep that was helping me
totally refunded me the $ because i had a 311 mix that i put
together playing in the background that he could here and it
as it turned out 311 just so happened to be his favorite
band.

I know I can be annoying and so can other posters on here,
but how can Monoid NOT be bored of his wind-up posts any
more? The way he says he uses DXM, the way he says he's a
virgin, his "philosophy" posts, this post, agghh.
