yeah, for serious. that was so out of nowhere, and it's so
powerful.

i thought about it some, and i figure Aleksandr Sokurov's
recent film about Hirohito, The Sun, would qualify.
Herzog is pretty obsessed with characters who are isolated
in the severity of their vision, one way or another...
Aguirre and Kaspar Hauser spring to mind, but i mean really
so many would qualify.
