To any of you have sleeping problems, I recommend valerian.
It's the first herbal over-the-counter drug that's worked
for me, and it has no horrible side effects like some
prescription drugs. I'm sure it does something to your
dreams, but that might just be a coincidence...

What sort of sleeping problems did you have? I might be
interested in this actually.

or just take a big fat placebo, it all works the same.

(this is more me saying placebo's work than shitting on
valerian root)

I've quit caffeine, gave me a terrible headache for two
days, but now I can fall asleep much better.

It's not homeopathy -- it's like herbal Xanax and it really
works!

valerian root and melatonin seem to help me get to sleep
quicker and sleep all the way through the night. but, they
only seem to be effective if i take them regularly.

diphenhydramine is the devil, never ever take it, I had the
most horrendous nightmare after taking that... messes with
your head.

never again

i'm good friends with diphenhydramine. very good friends,
actually. didn't observe any effects from valerian. i
stopped returning calls. and i can't tolerate supplemental
melatonin at all, i wake up with a piercing headache. i got
my body at a 50% off sale; maybe that explains the
discrepancies.

i would also like to point out that xanax is an agent of
not-so-goodness.
