Alright, so I've recently been trying to get voice chat to work so that I can play games with a couple friends and whatnot, but it seems like there is either a problem with my microphone or sound card. It's just really quiet all the time, and I can't figure out why. I have it set to the max volume and the +20db boost on but people still can't hear me unless I yell right into the mic.
It's just one of those headset microphone things, so maybe it's broken, so I guess I should try replacing that first. Can anyone recommend one that's good for gaming and preferably has good noise cancelling?
But if it comes down to it, what sound card should I get? I just want one that will do the same thing as this one, play music and let me use a microphone for voice chat and stuff. I'm guessing the cheapest one I can find, but if anyone has any suggestions let me know.
