LAZY_TITLE

very cool. check the extensiveness of the output format
list.

i wonder if it maintains the bitrate on audio, etc. i
imagine so.

i'm absolutely intrigued why you guys think this is the best
tool ever.

ANY 'format' conversion of lossy media is going to end up
with media that looks/sounds even worse. always. don't you
guys give a shit about format?

there's codecs and crap you can install on your computer to
play every format imaginable.

offline xf from Australia on 2007-03-06 07:39 [#02058783]
Points: 2952 Status: Lurker

err... "don't you guys give a shit about quality" that
should read.

it's late. err, yeah.

p.s. read the terms of use "Media-Convert is a free service,
which does not offer any guarantee of any kind as for its
use. "

ignoring the terrible (i assume, translated) engrish, this
could be constituted to mean that they can do whatever they
want with the uploaded files.

i certainly wouldn't be uploading anything i wanted to
retain copyright on up there.

yeah thats all very well. but it converts media online.

but i still don't understand

1. the reaction to this seems to suggest people here want to
convert audio/video a lot: why?

2. why the hell would you want to do it online instead of
using one of the million existing programs out there to do
it? it seems like trying to shove an elephant through a
straw.

care to elaborate?

whats the fuss? Audacity can do all that (except audio to
video)

installed on your compy.
