The 23 Enigma

I don't think I'll be watching this movie. Alot of strange
shit has been happening when I started thinking about the
number 23. But only at the current time I decided to give it
a go, it only has validity at that moment. The perception of
the present through an awareness that perceives it.

hah. i was going to start a thread about the 23 enigma, but
none other than gwely beat me to it.
i was going to talk about my experience that i had
yesterday, the
23rd.
along with one of my close friends, i met up with my brother
who, having an unexpected rare call off work that

day, arranged that we meet to go to a club.
it was, of course, called 'club 23'. but i assure you he
didn't set any of this up for that effect.
anyways, that's really the only coincidence about the
number. the rest of what i'm going to add is something

corroborating with what gwely just said. "The perception of
the present through an awareness that perceives it."

that's exactly dead on.
we were walking to the club and entertaining the thoughts of
these coincidences, when suddenly
i was feeling the emergence of a familiar anxiety. the last
time i smoked weed (months ago), i had,i cannot stress

enough, extremely intense feelings that i was figuring out
coincidences -deeply ingrained and specific to me- that are
not supposed to be

figured out. it felt like if you unlock these coincidences,
you remove the devices that control the flow of your

life.
and if you stop that very elaborate control over your life,
you begin to get trapped as time slows to a hault,

making you entirely responsible for the future of your
personal existence. it's as if if you don't get out of that

state, you'll be left behind while everything else in the
world disconnects from you, leaving you (though i can

only speculate) horribly lost to some unknown fate.

i used the analogy of a (correct me if im wrong)blackhole in
our mind to describe this to myself, because it

seemed the cannabis showed me that i was stuck in this sort
of event horizon, a place where reality loops and gets

more and more stuck as it repeats, and with no way to escape
except for a conscious effort to think out

possibilities; concepts or anything that keep the flow of
time happening substantially, so that you can have

----'seemlessly' random experiences in the future that you
feel no control over. it felt like experiencing this again

was a reminder that i was still stuck in the event horizon,
and that all the days that have went by were just

reduced back down to that moment. what's so disturbing is
that the coincidences seem to come so easy, and so

strong and fast, that you can start to get stuck even if
you're percieving a different and vastly distinct looking
environment, and

having any particular thoughts at the moment. imagine the
impending feeling that after a short countdown, your

current reality could suddenly shift, and you could appear
somewhere else very different. my body felt insubstantiated
like that, as if

i could just shoot into space in any direction in as short
as a blip, or fall through the ground.

even if that's an illusion, just a messing with my circuits,
or some bad physical condition, it tells us something

about a moment like that, which can only be comprehended at
that very moment. of course it's incredibly easy to

say that i would have reconstituted without any effort at
all- which im sure i probably would- but at that moment

it felt nearly impossible to just go with it without a
struggle, and so you leave no chances. hopefully i don't

have a hole in my brain or something.

anyways..i'm fine now. sorry if that was too long. i don't
think i wanna see that movie now either.

See, there are two people from surrey in this thread right
now. And three total from the lower mainland. Seeing that
these are the only people in this thread so far, its a 23
combination.

The 23 Enigma is very interesting (don't know if the film is
or not). I first became interested in it about 10 years ago
after reading about it a Robert Anton Wilson book. May he be
Resting In Peace.

Yeah it's very interesting. Whether the film is good or bad,
chances are it'll still get me paranoid, as I'm susceptible
to that.

"Also the new 2008 movie called 23 millimeters is coming out
in late 2007 it is the story of cj mcdonald and tasi suavaa

talking about how they penitrate each other colons 23 times
a second for 23 seconds every 23rd minute of the day. This
exciting pornographic thriller will have everyone thinking
about how to incorperate the number 23 into their sex
lives."

Not particularly - I have the Discordian book kicking about
somewhere - it's funny and interesting, but not something
I'd care to commit to.

again.

17 is sometimes considered one of the other numbers like 23
(13 and 17 included).

Went to xltronic, 23 users online. No, it's not a
coincidence.
This shit has been happening ever since I became aware of
it.

And I wouldn't turn a cheek and say I'm manifesting some
obsession to reach 23. If I try to find it I won't, it
doesn't work that way, it just happens, as if to remind you,
nope, this glitch is still here
I haven't read any books on it, so if Marlowe could say
anything insightful I'd be grateful. My mind is racing with
anxiety because of it.

Its suggestion. You are just noticing the 23's more than the
others because you have been training your mind to find
them.

And if you are really interested in reading books about
this, find the illuminatus trillogy (and then afterward read
the schrodingers cat trillogy).

I've taken that into account. And I'm fully aware that we do
that sort of entrainment everyday for various things. This
is somehow different. It takes your 'blah blah training mind
to find things blah blah', grabs it by the balls and
squeezes until your head pops off into the matrix and neo's
like "whoa. you're the 23rd person to reach zion".

I don't think I'd make it through one of those books, I'm so
prone to anxiety it's just bad. I've spent the last year
trying to reformat my perception of reality after some bad
drug trips and now this comes along. Completely removes the
ground that I stand on. It's beyond terrifying. It's like
waking up in your already standing awake body.

And since I'm aware that in not training my mind to find 23,
I won't even give a mention to the '23rd century
entertainment' line beside my name, as that's from a b12
album. b12 would be good right about now. and a bottle of
gin.

the date on your post is 2007-02-24.

if we add the first 6 digits:
2+7+2=11

11 is made only of the number 1

then 24-1=23

then the time you posted is 15:25

1+(1+5)*2+(2*5)=23

offline OK on 2007-02-26 22:45 [#02055641]
Points: 4791 Status: Lurker

Gwely has 5 charcaters, Mernans has 7.

7-5=2 <--- the last (and only) digit is 2

7+5=13 <--- the last digit is 3.

23! but what about the 1 in 13? let's see:

member number: 02055627 lets split it.

0205 and
5627

0+2+5=7

56-27=29

29-7=22

22 + 1 = 23
