season 3 has been zzzzzz so far. this episode didn't do
anything to rectify the problem.

good episode: drama, action suspense more mystery... i don't
know what you were actually expecting? it's TV

i thought it was alright, not the best though.

a few questions answered, which i'm grateful for.

I'm talking about season 3 as a whole (or rather, the 7
episodes we have seen so far). The "others" have been made
to look like complete idiots and completely killed any sense
of intrigue I had for them. John Locke (one of the
characters I always liked) has been watered down
considerably and is a shadow of his season 1 self. All the
mysteries that have been answered so far (about 2 of them)
have ended in disappointment, and as for the other
1032837489 or so outstanding questions, i'm beginning to
care little for them anymore. The massive break didn't help
either.

Much better episode this week. Nice to finally get away from
Jack and his merry band of phags. Desmond is a good
character and it'll be interesting to see where his
storyline goes from here.

mindfuck episode. hallucination/dream? No, because that is
inconsistent with Desmond having memories of the future.

and what's up with ms. Hawking? creepy... She reminded me of
God/Bartender in the final episode of quantum leap.

lost or quantum leap?

I hated the ending of quantum leap. "Sam Beckett never
returned home" *cries*

the others story line and wanted to get back to the beach.

The last on I saw took place mostly in England. It was a
timewarp thing. Is this the one you guys saw?

Lets face it the ending will be a disappointment. They
couldn't shock us enough to justify all this build up

its not all about the ending... its more about the enigma
being asked and answered all the time... just enjoy it

seems like the title of the show changes meaning every
season, season 1 it was "lost on an island" and in season 3
it's "lost in general"

a really great episode..

the influence of flann o'brien's "the third policeman" is
truly obvious now. fascinating stuff. this has really picked
up the season for me.

episode was just another headfuck of an episode, makes you
ask more questions when all you want are some fucking
answers!!!!
like the end of series 2, and the people in the boat going
towards the island (with as i remember desmonds girlfriend
talking to them)....been 8 episodes now since then and no
progress!!!

still was entertaining though, can't wait for ep 9 ;) :D

yeah, what questions did it answer, the whole thing of what
happened after the key got turned just made you ask more
questions and also question the fact if he did go back in
time or is a flashback - I personally think it was a
flashback.......

and it still didnt answer the question of how the hell did
he survived if the bunker exploded leaving a crater and no
debri, and with him with no clothes..........yep probably
more experiments....
and where's that guy with the patch from a few episodes ago
in an entirely different bunker who seen them?

I do think the script writers make it up as they go on (they
may have an overall plan) - I don't know if anyone remembers
end last season, when hurley was in the mental institute and
it was revealed that his new "girlfriend" was actually there
too, stalking him...............the next episode she got
fucking shot!!!! so what was the point of introducing
that?!?!? :D and then you see her again when desmonds
talking about that boat........explain this shit please!!!!

still, can't wait for the next episode though ;) :D

The first three episodes of Series 3 did do the Lost thing
of dragging the damn thing out and being sometimes more
frustrating than enjoyable but... woooah episodes 7 and 8
(which I just watched last night) ... Fucking hell, back on
track.. especially 8, that was incredible. Desmond's
character is brilliant, I'm glad they've upped his profile
after having him running away for half of series two (I
liked how some American reviewer on Amazon for the s02 box
set refereed to him as "the French guy")

Still, they are desperately trying to to think of things to
do with Claire rahter than just have in the background
holding the baby, this time even trying to drown her. I hope
Charlie does get what the Universe has planning for him, I
think they've deliberately made him more and more
insufferable so if and when he does get it you'll be
relieved.

There's so many bits you need to freeze frame (if you've got
the time), the analysis some people did on that ice station
zebra bit at the end of se02 really was very revelaing, but
stuff you'd never get just watching it. I do like that
aspect, though I lack the patience to go through it myself,
I'm glad it's there
