Why do you think it is that no composer of music has
matched the amazing music of Aphex Twin or Autechre? Don't
you find it strange? :-)

I think you need to listen to Kraftwerk in more detail.

They don't sound good today? Why do great composers still
rip them off today then?

offline bob from Nottingham (United Kingdom) on 2007-02-08 13:58 [#02047344]

This is a VERY narrow-minded point of view you've got,
Phone.

The question should be:

"Why don't I try a bit harder when it comes to searching out
music?"

But if you think that Aphex Twin and Autechre are the cream
of ALL music, then that's your look-out.

I might agree with Aphex, at least in comparison to any
living composers. Go back just 50 years, though, and RDJ is
in a lot tougher company.

Autechre, though, is great, maybe, but nothing that won't
fade out.

Didn't Nacmat make this thread like two weeks ago, though?

visited Goser, huh?

...
now, i don't want to be rude or something, but please be
honest: are you for real, or are you trying to either mock
or recreate the xltronic.com/mb / aphextwin.nu of
yesteryear?

and if you are for real, why do you present your opinion as
a fact?

Aphex gave up trying to write interesting music about eight
years ago, in favour of devoting all of his time nowadays to
setting up shill accounts on forums like this, and posting
messages like:

" Why do you think it is that no composer of music has
matched the amazing music of Aphex Twin or Autechre? Don't
you find it strange? :-) "

The thing I don't get is: why would anyone troll in the
manner Phone supposedly has? I would think that all people
would get bored pretty quicky on a troll account with
absolutely no humor or wit allowed... but hey, it's the
90's.

i know where you're coming from and they are both important,
but there are Black Dog records that are almost 20 years old
that still kick at least autechre into the street in 6
different possitions.

RDJ is the IDM patron but on other genres of electronic
music there are much better artists.

I'm now listening to Aksak Maboul, they are very cool. AE
would like them, I think. So would AFX. They'd even bow down
in awe and worship, possiblie.
