If both parents are methane producers, their children have a 95% chance of being producers as well. The reason for this is apparently unknown. Some researchers suspect a genetic influence, whereas others think the ability is due to environmental factors. However, all methane in any farts comes from bacterial action and not from human cells. did you see that thing about the people trying to create the worlds nastiest smell for "non-lethal warfare?" I think it must've been discovery channel or something, but they found that there wasn't any single smell that repelled people equally; there's no "natural" aversion to any particular smell. The did, however, find a smell that a large percentage of people seemed to dislike.. I can't remember if they gave out the formula (most likely not), but the reporter was close to throwing up after being subjected to it apparently. |
