Hello,
Who do you think is better, Aphex Twin or Squarepusher? One has better beats (Squarepusher), but the other has better melodies (Aphex). I think Aphex Twin is better, because SAWI and Analord are much better then anything Squarepusher has put out.
What about you? :-) Who is your favorite?

Hi Aphex. I think you used to do good records then you got lazy or delusions of granduer. I think Tom made one good record, then made the same one over and over and over again ad absurdum. I don't give a shit for "melodies" or "beats", just do good records, you pair of cunts.

Squarepusher is nowhere near the level of Aphex. Squarepusher had one, maybe two, good idea and based all of his albums off that. Every album Aphex makes is so drastially different from his others that you wouldn't know they were his if you hadn't known.
Squarepusher is just a good idm artist, but Aphex is unique.

wat why isnt everybody saying Aphex? Aphex has better beats and melodies Squarepusher only made one good record and thats Big Loada his records all have the same style and mood aphex is just 10 times more diverse musically and never released anything bad with squarepusher you have lots of weak stuff like burningntree and hello everything sometimes squarepusher just sounds like ringtones

Aphex is my personal favourite, however, Squarepusher has tons of underrated stuff and to call Aphex more diverse isn't strictly true...Aphex has a wider sonic palette but Squarepusher has, over the years, produced a wide variety of sounds (some just totally ignored by people because it's not a rinsed Amen - then these same people complaint he does nothing but fast chopped Amen tunes).
It would never be a head to head thing anyway...they both have their individual style and flavour and I personally am grateful that both exist in alive form.

I would bet on Aphex for the win...
although in an all out grudge match... []pusher would bully the beats till Aphex would cave in. I would much rather see a world with more Aphex rather then Squarepusher.
.... even if he does have red hair.

Aphex produces better beats than Squarepusher. FACT! Does higher BPM = better beats to you lot?

no it doesnt.... i agree that Aphex does better beats... but SP does have a habit of being over the top with how he dispenses them.

one does better this, the other better that!!! haha!! You can't say such things! they are both geniuses at melodies, beats, harmonies, all of it! Tom Jenkinson is a master bass player though that's for sure. But anyway... Different styles of making music. Both absolutely wicked!
one can't choose if one really appreciates this sort of music.
