"being high is a little like being drunk, accept ten times
more fun and relaxing......well maybe not as fun but more
relaxing."

I find being high very different from being drunk, actually.
Even if I'm slightly stoned (like now), music and everything
in general becomes a lot more involving and slightly more
intense, even if there's also a relaxing aspect to it. Being
drunk just makes me more tired and numb, and more open to
talking to people. I don't want to talk to anyone when I'm
stoned.

In my experience it isn't different at all. You all
must be imagining things.

pot & alcohol are pretty much very different experiences for
me.

communal smoking is far more satisfying. i can't stop
talking when i get stoned.

I guess it depends on the stuff. Some strains make you buzzy
and talkative, some offer a more dreamy, relaxed, lucid
experience. That's what I find, anyway.

same thing with alcohol tho. a wine drunk is severely
different from a whiskey drunk.

im not making the argument that weed and booze "highs" are
similar (quite the contrary actually) but that just as weed
can have completely different effects, so can good ol'
ethanol.

"same thing with alcohol tho. a wine drunk is severely
different from a whiskey drunk."

True. Why is that? Surely it's all alcohol and does the same
thing. You're right; they're distinctly different, and it's
not just a case of whisky having a higher percentage
(because even if you have a small amount of whisky the drunk
is different to that of winey wine.)

seriously, this is pretty silly but if you wanna compare
credentials:
ive been smoking since i was 15 (21 now), dealt for a year,
half of the kids i know have been slinging at some point or
another, and two of my best friends have been growing for
the past three years. ive been mugged buying weed, been
caught with posession (fortunately didnt get charged cuz i
was just a stupid kid), ive made my own hash multiple times,
and at one point was smoking on average at least 2 grams per
day to my head. also, i live in santa fucking cruz
california, the capital of 420 where every year around 3000
kids (maybe more, maybe less, im terrible at estimating
things of that nature) go out into what is essentially the
backyard of the dorms i lived in and smoke themselves
retarded.

but, once again, this kind of penis measuring is pretty
pointless.

dude CS2x go to a tobbaco shop, they have little cheap
machines where you put whatever you want in, then you get a
pack of empty ciggarettes (just the paper with the filter),
after that you can get a normal pack of ciggarettes and put
all the cigaweed in the box. if you cant find any of those
machines or the empty cig tubes then just use thick paper.

offline phantom from Chicago (United States) on 2007-01-26 18:58 [#02038804]

you can get empty cig tubes with no filters. also puting the
weed in the tubes reduces the risk of being caught with the
weed.

in like 1997 i submitted a question to cecil from
straightdope.com about why exactly different forms of
alcohol apparently produce different drunk experiences.

i guess it's pretty hard to get a question past his team of
screeners and actually have him read it, but i got a
response back that said he would consider my question.
however, as far as i know that cocksucking sonofabitch still
hasn't answered me.

p.s. i AM weed.
