Aparently only the concept was unveiled at namm, but this
looks pretty hot.

Just a little background for those who aren't familiar with
either of these names, roger linn is the creator of some of
the first and most innovative programmable drum machines,
and is the creator of the linndrum and the mpc60. Dave Smith
invented midi and was one of the developers of the first
commercial professional software synthesizers. He also is
responsible for the different prophet synthesizers, which
are my favorite vintage synthesizers.

I am extremely excited about this. Anyone else heard any
good rumors from the namm show?

BTW, if this comes out, it will definately out do the
elektron machine drum. Gives me something to spend a bit
more of my money on now that I have my depts somewhat under
control.

Yes. Its a concept. It was taken from a display at the namm
show. Dave smith always seems to like to have something for
namm. Its not a definite, but its something in the works
kind of thing.

Roger Linn and Dave Smith have worked together. Dave smith
did some of the design for the adrenalinn guitar effect box.
Why is it so far fetched that they work together?

I don't know. It will be analogue. The evolver is the most
insane synthesizer of all time. It kicks everything's ass. I
couldn't see a drum machine made by these guys being
anything less than something that could kick the ass of the
machinedrum.

It's not far fetched, it's just the image look fake IMO.

And of course its going to seem off. Its a photo taken from
an odd perspective of a poster of the thing taken from an
odd perspective.

Thats because its a concept, meaning that it hasn't been
made yet.
