I love a slice of jazz. Coltrane, Monk, Adderley, Davis are probably the ones I listen to the most.

I like tech jazz fusion and drum'n'bass styled jazz a lot. Regular "jazz" is good for late night drives when you're ready to drift to sleep (not if you are the one driving of course!).

I think it's better to avoid the whole random issue again. But I do like to point however, that it doesn't look like it could arouse CeriJC into making a huge reply. I expect a "Genuine LOL" at most. ...I mean, AT MOST.

I can't really get into Jazz, it's just not my thing. I like a little bit Miles Davis, and Time Out by Dave Brubeck is nice, but can't say I'm a big fan!

The preview stuff on his site is pretty much laid back funk/acid jazz. I listen to a lot of that stuff. I find it enjoyable, but it can be very generic (like most stuff, I suppose). You ever listen to Bill Evans?

not really..don't like piano in jazz much. i either like that laid back thing, or free jazz - ayler, coleman..and coltrane, davis sort of thing. also, some scandinavian stuff - like the thing for example.

I'm a piano player, so piano trios are my favorite jazz medium. I don't know how you can like coltrane and davis without liking piano in jazz - that's absurd. Most of that music wouldn't work without piano.

I listen to jazz quite often, particular to artists mixing jazz with more electronica, like Nils Petter Molvær, Wibutee, Bugge Wesseltoft/NCOJ etc (Jazzland, Rune Grammafon, Smalltown Supersound etc).
Fusion Jazz is also quite cool (Weather report, herbert hancock, mahavishnu orchester, old chick corea etc).
More tradional jazz/trios, like keith jarreth, charles mingus, charlie haden, urban connection etc, is also very nice (if the mood is right...)
