They're all close to each other in the main town (the
exception being Jumbo which is a little further than the
rest and inside a shopping complex). If you need directions,
type "jumbo records leeds" or whatever into google.

Leeds is quite a big town and I don't know it properly
myself. But its well signed so you should be able to find
what you're looking for.

Thanks for this, stops me having to treck round, searching.
I know Crash is good. They're very helpful and make
reccomendations and have a good selection. I went into about
3 places yesterday, including a couple of dj stores, there
was no electronica or underground hiphop or anything
anywhere in site. I asked the guy if he had any warp stuff.
"any... what?" so I tried asking if he had any electronica.
"what, drum&bass?" no... never mind.

I think theres a few quirky record stores in the Corn
Exchange too, but its been a while since i've been in there
and you have to walk past the emo massive to even get in
these days. Generally rock stuff if I remember, but i'm sure
you could find the odd misplaced gem amongst the racks of
vinyl.

Sophie: stay the hell out of HMV! :p

you going to leeds on the train?
tribe is nearest to the train station, if you find the Corn
exchange Tribe is down a little alleyway and up some stairs,
just by the corn exchange, between freds pizza and blue
rinse clothes shop, if you go in on a thursday you might
even catch me workin in there>>> not so much electronica in
there any more,a bit of old skool and underground hiphop,
theres lots of stuff in the sale section, theyre stocking
mostly dubstep and dumb + bass now, also we have plenty of
uk digital dub stuff and reggae, upstairs is another shop
(Loft) with mostly minimal techno, tech house and some
electro stuff. Jumbo has some good stuff...wicked jazz cd
section, Crash has loads of jiggy hiphop, some underground
hiphop, a bit of electronica, big metal selection, loads of
house.....

oh ho hooooo You're VERY funny. I wasn't IN pissing HMV. I
was in some little dj shop with loads of vinyl and cans and
decks and stuff. All there was, was housey house, gay house,
sexy house, transey house, dancey house, bouncey... At least
in HMV you can find some Aphex and ae, even if it does cost
about £20.

Aaalso. you don't get the emo kr3w there anymore. The police
have powers now to diffuse (thats really not the word i
want) groups of more than 6 or something.

mm sex. is that place closed on a Sunday? I think I walked
past it last week and really wanted to go in but it was
closed.

They're like fucking rats. If it wasn't for the fact that
the "guys" have chests like a god damn birdcage, they might
actually be mildly intimidating. As it stands, they just
looked retarded.

Diffusion sounds great though.

it took me about 5 years to realise the corner exchange is
called the corn exchange.

Either word works fine in this context methinks.

certainly, but it's just it's an annoying, frustrating
feeling when you're trying to think of a word and can't
think of it.

On the net, its not really a problem. Head to
dictionary.com, hit up the thesaurus and voila :)

But yeah, I hate it when it happens in real life. I was once
laying in bed for almost an hour trying to think of a word
and I promised myself I wouldn't go to sleep until I got it.
Sad but true :)

becauuussseee they're not spastic, ginger or black. And
"long haired has AIDS" doesnt sound like the best insult.
Also, it was a devvo quote. oh yeah.

you can find some decent stuff, esp vinyl, in
soulalley[.co.uk]. it's in the grand arcade, near
gatecrasher :D. Also, on the same road (vicar lane?),
opposite the grand arcade, there's relic records, which you
may find a few... relics in.

i think i know the dj shop you mean sophie, with the low
ceiling and wank-all selection, by north bar.
