Although I do think you've got a point (and I personally
agree), the post you're following up to doesn't even mention
the functionality of an mp3-player. It was about the value
of an iPhone for business-life, geddit? And business-life
hasn't got much to do with mp3s and video's. And seeing that
the harddisk-size is 8bg max, those functions don't seem
very important. 8gb for videos and mp3s is next to nothing.
Furthermore, there's probably already 1 gb reserved for the
OS (which is OS X) and its apps. Making it even less usefull
as a chique mp3-player.

It's a triumph of marketing when a 3.5" screen can be called
"widescreen".

Wait, are you complimenting Apple's marketeers?

You're quite right. I followed up to the wrong post (3 IE
windows open at once = too much for my addled brain).
Ironically, it was in another thread on this topic
(iOverpricedPhone), so it didn't seem too out of place/I
didn't notice at the time. Sorry about that.

self righteous pricks

if they made a yamaha r1 that could transform (yes, like a
transformer) into the size of a cassette tape that could fit
in your pocket and also was a computer (mac/pc) which was
also your home entertainment center which all you had to do
was plug it into a home doc station that wirelessly sent out
info via bluetooth and a wi-fi connection, why wouldn't you
think everyone should have one, unless you like all the
pollution making dvd players, amps, pre-amps, cd players, hd
dvd players, blue ray players, dvr's, and mp3 players
cause... they're just trying to make the future simpler by
using one fucking piece of equipment to exercise all your
imagination's extisential manifestations. and you're
calling bullshit on their marketing campaign "style"!? it's
called fucking democracy in a free trade society... if you
don't like it why don't you donate everything you own as a
result of this corprate mongering money devouring machine
and see what the fuck your left with dumb asses! if you
wanna use this media hype associated with the launch of
another hybrid technological device as a sign of man's
appocolyptic vision then your are sadly about 5000 years too
late on that boat...

disagree? then simply disregard. better yet crimea river.
