ah thanks guys - sweet

i use reason, sometimes i will rewire it up in cubase, but
often reason is enough on its own, and i do a lot of
recording/sampling/scratching etc

sweet - i meant as in - I'm d/l yer other stuff ...

:)

datz cool tho .. just listened to rogers bed . nice ..
mellow n that ...

hey heXagonalDOPE - do you use reason??

offline korben dallas from nz on 2002-03-14 04:58 [#00125453]
Points: 4605 Status: Regular

hehe .. whadda guess ..

how do you find the rewire thing..

coz at the mo i use cubase (a wee bit of rebirth) - but i
never use rewire ... find it a bit of a pain.

offline hexagonaldope on 2002-03-14 05:06 [#00125462]
Points: 441 Status: Lurker

it took ages to get cubase to work with reason without
crashing, but it works well now, can take links from all of
the instruments/effects in reason into their own channel in
cubase...

i prefer just using reason though, its a lot less hassle,
never had a problem just using reason.

I used to have a lot of proper hardware - lots of synths (my
father made music in the 70's and i inherited them) and
samplers, but i prefer my mac and controllers

offline korben dallas from nz on 2002-03-14 05:16 [#00125466]
Points: 4605 Status: Regular

shit .. might have to investigate this rewire thing!! ..
sounds like its virtually VST!!

thats right, all the effex in rebirth aren't rewireable ..
:( not that their fantastic, but still.

i generally jst bounce little 4 bar loops to audio and
import to cubase. and do what has to be done with them ...

so you can like edit the know twiddling in the cubase audio
editor? hmm...

thanks korben, yes you can edit any parameter of any reason
instrument/device in a cubase track or reason or have both
at the same time. i use the sequencer in reason exclusively,
and place audio tracks in cubase for vocals etc.

i prefer reasons sharp EQing to cubase's watery EQ, but tend
to use vst effects rather than reasons.

i like your cat with his panty head.

the ahex mix is really good, dancey, i turned up my sound
system and it rocks. really good build up, then that bass
comes in, wow this tune rules!

good one Luce...Had me noddin my head so thats the A1 sign
you got something good happening...

Improve it?... I'm a big fan of no standard dance loops so
maybe do some more extreme processing and cutting up of that
break you are using...

But overall...it's coool....

reverse a loop, add reverb, and reverse it again to the
original. listen to it...

thanks guys. all my breaks are hand built by me tho! i take
the quantize from a groovy beat and apply it to hits from
others breaks (ive got about 500 breaks now =) ). i spend a
long time doing this to make my breaks sound real.

would u dance to it (turn your stereo up and try pls =) )

I'd dance to it...yeah...

Good work on the break...I thought it was just a straight
loop...but still, go for something wilder...(or at least
give it go...)...
