What an amazing album. I downloaded it from slsk a while
ago but got it on vinyl for Xmas this year. Argh, so good.
Brings together the earlier Arpanet typical electro style
with his stranger material from the last album (which I DID
hate when I first listened, but now I quite like).
Anyway, great buy, get it on vinyl if you haven't yet.

Listening it right now and quite impressed with what theyve
achieved on this...
Waouw, it just entered my list of 2006 best ones... a chill
per track guaranteed... beautiful, groovy, deep, dark,
weird, lush, spacial...

Anyone know what Gerald is singing on Zero Volume? This
doesn't make sense to me at all:
"See you Verity/Time space infinity"
WTF's Verity got to do with it?

I love the abstract stuff gerald donald has done. I'm trying
to track down Dopplereffekt - Linear Accelerator. Is it
anything like the later arpanet and der zyklus?

offline chambre noire from Iceland on 2007-01-17 07:13 [#02033571]
Points: 2515 Status: Lurker

it 's got long abstract drone/soundscape/ambientish-tracks
and one track (the last one) with some rythm/beats. not very
good, but ok.

first thing, quantum transposition is still the most amazing
arpanet, a true classic.

inertial frame is awesome though! loving it, the choir vox
stuff is really outstanding. current favorite track: axis of
rotation

that dopplereffekt album is ace too, a bit difficult (the
first part is made of dark/drone trx) but it has some wicked
tunes (4-5-6) of classic drexciyan sounds, like it said on
the cover, its somewhere between j.carpenter & detroit
techno...

that said my favorite one must be the latest arpanet
