aside from the fact that it's pretty incoherent and could
just as well be a collection of tunes played in sequence,
this is nice! You've got some good melodic elements in there
and not all of the drums are kickdrums. You're
spending too little time developing the melodies, though,
and too much developing the drums.

Maybe we should do some kind of collab some time? I wonder
how that'd end up...

I thought you'd invented some new internet protocol.

DM: thanks! man, the "melody" -it's mostly NI massive, and
it sounds great but i don't think ive mixed it well at all.
have you used it yet? i had a little pluggo vst making this
kinda stabbing beam-hum that went well with that melody in
the last half, but, it seemed boring? i took it out. i
wanted it to sound like a laser

i'd love to collab sometime, i think it'd be awesome .. my
emails in my profile

DB: youve made an astute observation -- there was one of
those 9,000,000 page XML books on my desk and a copy of snow
crash -- thus the trackname was born

I like the melody stuff that's in the beginning the best,
btw

I think you're on my msn somewhere so we can probably get
our funk on there some time.

but right now I need to get some sleep. This room is getting
smaller.

For some reason when I read snow xaml I think "snow camel".

Overall I like the track. It changes a lot. I like the drum
breakdown where the drums are run through a bit crusher
(about 1/4 of the way through). I also like the gating
effect (or tremolo I guess) on the pad towards the end of
the song.

The intro made me laugh because it starts of with that
bubbly sound, and then it sounds like someone is having
diarrhea to the beat. I think it's safe to assume that's
more a problem with me, rather than with your track. :)

The drum programming especially stands out. Nice work.

I use Acid Pro mostly, so it shouldn't be a problem. We just
exchange audio files or something... It'll have to wait
'till I'm back at my place over christmas, though.. or.. I
do have acid here, but I don't have my synth or drum
sounds or anything...

With further development this could be very good. I wanted
to hear a nasty bass line in there. If you could find a way
to straddle the line between ae and proper drum and bass
your stuff would be excellent to my ears.

This is really something, I'm inclined to say I love this. I
have a soft spot for ambient bellowings in far off melodies
like this. Very atmospheric and spot on with direction in my
opinion. This is a keeper, I want more. Enough to make a mix
cd of your stuff.
