Hey all. I just got a new mac and I was wondering if you
could help me. What would you suggest for software for
music. I know a lot of people use Cubase or Reaktor, stuff
like that, but I really can't affor to spend $500 bucks for
the software. Are there any free downloads out there, or
better yet, ftp search engines for mac software?

Go to hotlines home page (serch in altavista or somthing) dl
hotline (it's a tcp/ip charing program). Start serch for the
stuff you need.

when you got ht, try these.

www.hotlinehq.com

It's actually kind of nice. you can load Os 9.2 or whatever
off the HD to run programs non-compatible with OSX.

Self-equiv: Thanks again. 'ppreciate the help

01010: I haven't had that many problems yet (crosses
fingers). Hopefully it'll stay that way since OSX is
supposed to reduce latency, and all that.

I am using OS 9 until I get Illustrator 10 and Black and
White.
Quark crashes, Photoshop stalls and then crashes.
