I discovered that deleting all the posts in a thread removed the thread, and while I can see the point in leaving a typical every-day crap thread close instead of deleted, leaving these sorts of things just gives the troll a sense of achievement. So I saw no problem in clearing them out. But I kept the screenshots. If I did anything wrong I apologise. However I did just spend an hour of my sunday morning clearing out shit so if that was the wrong thing to do I shall be rather... put out. |

something similar happened to me a while ago when i was a mod somewhere. i was closing threads while another mad mod kept making them. when we hit 30 threads and the webmaster was on his way to the messageboard - another mod jumped in, and, not knowing what had been going on, just deleted the topics. so when the webmaster finally showed up - there was no evidence, not even a screenshot. "i have no evidence, so i can't ban that mad mod" he said. so i got pissed and left the building. internets.. |
